Peterborough Lakers Make Two Trades To Prepare For The 2011 MSL Season

GM Jamie Batley has completed two trades to help the Lakers prepare for the 2011 MSL season.

1/ Ryan Cousins was traded to Six Nations for Brandon Francis. Batley states that ” Brandon will add toughness to the Lakers and he is a noted face-off man in lacrosse. We thank Ryan for his past contribution and wish him well iun the future”.

2/ Jeff Gilbert was traded to Brooklin along with a second round draft pick in 2012 for “Gavin Prout, a known right handed goal scorer in the NLL and Steve Hutchins a young right handed scorer for Brooklin last year. Again we thank Jeff for his Laker work and wish him well”.  Batley added ” with both brothers Brock and Kyle Sorensen ready on D for the Lakers this year coming and transition player Brad Self returning to the Lakers we felt that Jeff could be a trade possibility”.
