(Rochester, March 5)… The Rochester Knighthawks battled back but could not withstand a five-goal fourth quarter in an 11-8 loss to the Buffalo Bandits tonight at HSBC Arena. The Rochester battled back in the third quarter with three straight goals to tie the game at six and pulled within 8-7 in the fourth, but could never pull ahead of the Bandits. The rally was keyed by Troy Bonterre’s fight against Brandon Francis early in the third quarter.

Rochester got a six-point night from Jordan Hall (3+3) and a five-assist effort from Shawn Williams. Williams also reached a milestone as he tied John Grant Jr.’s all-time assist record with No. 461. He eclipsed the record in the third quarter. Matt Vinc made 42 saves in the loss.
The Knighthawks (5-5) fell into fourth place in the East Division. Meanwhile, Buffalo improved to 5-3 and stand alone in the third place.
