This is game three of seven, for the Victoria Shamrocks and the Coquitlam Adanacs, and it was played in front of a crowd of about 3,000, here at Bear Mountain Arena in Victoria. The first period put the Adanacs on the board with the first two goals, getting past Nick Patterson, both scored by Cory Conway. The first at 1:07, and the second, at 1:54. Rhys Duch answered back, scoring on Nick Rose, with Victoria’s first of the night, at 3:53, followed by another two, at 8:18 and 10:49, which were scored by Matt Lyons and Mike Pires.
Dane Dobbie scores two in a row for the Adanacs, at 11:14, and 15:28, then Ryan Benesch and Keven Dostie add two more for Victoria, at 17:16, and 17:58, ending the first period with a score of 5-4 for Victoria. Shots on goal are, 20 for Victoria, and 15 for Coquitlam.
The Shamrocks, Matt Lyons, opens the second period, with his second goal of the night, at 2:59, followed, not too long after, by one from Dane Dobbie, for the Adanacs.. his third of the night, at 5:57. Rhys Duch of Victoria, gets his second of the night, at 7:04, on the power play. Two more goals are scored by Coquitlam. Dane Dobbie gets his fourth, at 10:58, on the power play, and Peter Veltman gets one past Patterson at 12:11, tying the game at 7-7.
Now, here come the Shamrocks! The next five goals are in favour of Victoria. The 8th and go-ahead goal, is scored on the power play, by Ryan Benesch, at 14:49. Matt Lyons gets his hat trick, at 15:10; Nick Inch sinks one past Rose, at 15:51; Rhys Duch gets his hat trick, at 16:15, and the Adanacs change goaltenders, putting Brandon Atherton between the pipes.
Before the period is finished, Jeff Shattler fires one into the net, at 17:45. The score at the end of the second period is 12-7 for Victoria. Total shots on goal are, 37 for Victoria, and 29 for Coquitlam.
