Clippers Drop Weekend Pair

The Windsor Clippers dropped a pair of weekend games that, on paper, they should have won. We all know of course that is precisely the reason why they play the games. The Clippers visited Hamilton on Friday evening and dropped a stink bomb on the steel city with a lack-lustre 10-3 loss to the now 2-6 Bengals.

The Clippers visited Niagara on the Lake on Saturday evening to face the now 2-3 Thunderhawks. While the effort on Saturday night was much improved over Friday’s effort, the result did not add up to success. The Clippers lost 5-4. The Clippers offence has gone into a slump and the coaching staff has been trying different combinations to get the scoring rolling again.

The Clippers will host a pair of games this week. On Thursday night the Wallaceburg Red Devils will make their first visit of the season to Windsor. Game time at Forest Glade Arena is 8:00 pm. On Saturday night the high flying Welland Warlords visit the Clippers for a 7:00 pm tilt.
