Day 4 Of Peewee / Bantam Nationals

Well the Bantam’s were back on the floor today after a day off, and in the early games, there was some very close ones.  Saskatchewan narrowly got by Nova Scotia by an 8-7 score, and in my selected game for video, Alberta remained undefeated by getting past British Columbia 3-2.  I caught the last 9 minutes of the game on tape and it is below.

The way things look right now in Bantam, if Ontario defeats Saskatchewan at 2:15 today, the game tonight between Alberta and Ontario will determine 1st overal and a direct trip to the “A” final on Saturday. The loser will play the winner of the Iroquois – British Columbia game at 5:00 today for the right to go to the final. The loser of the Iroquois – B.C. game will play for the Bronze “A” medal.

Bantam Alberta vs. British Columbia Footage

In Peewee, Team Ontario showed no sign of let down after last nights emotional win over British Columbia.  This morning the Ontarians beat Nova Scotia 27-0.  Meanwhile Iroquois shutout Saskatchewan 6-0, and in the Peewee game of the day (so far), B.C. squeaked one out over Alberta 6-5.  B.C. was up 6-3 with just over a minute to play, and Alberta scored twice with their goalie on the bench.  They just couldn’t get the equalizer before time ran out.

The way Peewee is looking, Ontario should be in the “A” final with Alberta and British Columbia facing off, the winner going to the “A” final as well.  The loser of that game is likely playing Iroquois for the “A” Bronze medal.
