2007 Peewee / Bantam Nationals Opening Ceremonies

At 4:00 Eastern Time on Sunday August 5th / 2007 the opening ceremonies of the 2007 Ontario Lacrosse Festival took place in Whitby, Ontario. The venue was the legendary Iroquois Sports Complex, home of the Junior “A” Whitby Warriors and Major Series Brooklin Redmen.

Below are photos of the teams as they enter the floor.

After all teams were out onto the floor the Canadian National Anthem was performed by none other than Dan Clancy.  Afterwards, the Canadian Lacrosse Mom’s Shootout took place. Teams were formed from mom’s of players participating in the Nationals, and each province / team was represented.  The competition was to score as many goals as possible in 30 seconds.

In the end I’m pretty sure it was team Yellow that won the competition in a close one!
