Whitby Peewee Lacrosse Raffle Winners

The Whitby Minor Lacrosse Peewee 1 Team recently held their fund raising raffle draw at Iroquois Park Arena. This was the major fund raiser to support the team trip to Calgary, Alberta on the July long weekend. With the help of Owen (a brother of one of the players on the team), we had a grand prize winner. The autographed Sidney Crosby game jersey was awarded to Paul Kotsopoulos of Courtice, Ontario. This jersey came with a Certificate of Authenticity from Frameworth Marketing and is currently valued at over $1000.  Pictured below, is the presentation of the jersey to Paul at Iroquois Park Complex, in Whitby.
Our 2nd prize winner was selected by Jenna, the sister of one of the players on the team. The lucky winner of Jenna’s pick from the box was Terry Riggers of Kendall, Ontario. Terry was the winner of an autographed Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Stick. Pictured below is the presentation of the Leafs Stick to Terry.

And last but certainly not least, Ian (another brother of a player), picked our third prize ticket. Phil Wake of Whitby, Ontario was the winner of two Toronto Blue Jay tickets. (Photo will be coming soon).

We’d like to thank all of you who purcahsed tickets for our draw.  The trip was a great success for the team, and left some great memories and stories for the kids.  We’d also like to thank Trevor Jackson, of Shoot For A Cure who worked with us on this fund raising event. A portion of our ticket sales went bak to Shoot For A Cure. Lastly, thanks to Ange Harper, our Manager for donating third prize, the Toronto Blue Jays seats.
