May 31, 2007
For Immediate Release
Peterborough, ON

The Brooklin Redmen played their fourth game this evening since their 2007 campaign started less than a week ago. They won their home opener 24 hours ago and were looking to get back to .500. They faced the Peterborough Lakers at the Memorial Centre and after the home side built a 6-0 lead after the opening period the Redmen played catch up all night long.

The second frame was much closer as the teams left the floor with a 6-4 period win for the Lakers. The Lakers were up 8-3 midway through the second period. Four straight by the Lakers made it 12-3 with a few minutes left in the second. The Redmen closed the gap to 12-4 after forty minutes.

The Redmen won the third period 4-3 for the 15-8 final and the loss on the night.

Penalties on the night were even with each team drawing five minors for 10 minutes.

Redmen wrap up a busy five game week with a road trip to Kitchener/Waterloo on Saturday June 2, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. to try and salvage the week a step closer to .500 again.
