Team Ontario Rosters Released Today

The 2007 editions of Peewee and Bantam Team Ontario were made official today and the province is definitely well represented.

The Peewee squad will be led again by Coach and General Manager of the Portland Lumberjax, Derek Keenan.  No less than 15 associations are represented with only Peterborough sending three players to the final team.  Orangeville, Halton Hills, and Whitby are all represented by two each, with one player each being sent from Mississauga, Clarington, Welland, Oakville, Owen Sound, Elora, Guelph, Burlington, West Durham, Kitchener and Cambridge.  Returning from last seasons Peewee team Ontario are Nick Ritchie, Cam Milligan and Nick Karam, which should certainly help the team this year.

On the Bantam Team, led by Head Coach Corny Derks, 11 assocaiations contributed with Halton Hills leading the way sending a total of six kids.  Peterborough sends three, while Orangeville and Whitby send two each. Oakville, Six Nations, Nepean, Wallaceburg, Sarnia, Mimico, and Elora all send one player each.

Congratulations to all those players that were selected to Team Ontario, and best of luck in August!

  1. Did Peterborough have some kids move into the area? Maybe North of BridgeNorth can help us out on this one…
