Some interesting stats for week 9… after #1 Hurst’s 8-5 win over #12 CW Post, Canadians are responsible for 41 of the 6-0 Lakers’ 71 total goals so far this season – attackmen Kyle Kallay (Orangeville ON) 13, Matt Hummel (Kitchener ON) 11, Brady Heseltine (EloraON) 10, midfielders Zac Reid (St. Catharines ON) 6, Mitch McAvoy (Sherwood Park AB / The Hill Academy) 1.
McAvoy is Hurst’s #1 drawman, going 45-34 (57.0%) to date.
9 Canadians on a roster of 46 (19.6%) accounting for 57.7% of goals to date… no wonder they play O Canada (complete with french 2nd verse) along with the Star Spangled Banner prior to all home games in Erie.

That comment is a little unfair Louise. Not all of the 40,000 kids playing in minor lacrosse across Ontario get covered either.

There is a lot of work and compiling of information that Jason does to get this article ready for all of us to enjoy.

Rather than being picky about who you do not see listed here, maybe be appreciative of the fact that we have anything at all like this.

Of course, if you would like to pick up where Jason has left off, I will gladly post your story covering the rest of the young Canadian men and women playing across North America.
