Winter Co-Ed Lacrosse is back! LITG Co-Ed Masters Lacrosse league will be playing out of the indoor Soccer Facility once again in Whitby.

The LITG Co-Ed Masters League is a fun, non-contact version of lacrosse that uses Masters Rules of play ( a copy of the LITG Co-Ed Masters Rules of Play can be downloaded Right Here). Ladies and Gents 18 years of age and older of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in a fun and social lacrosse environment. This league has increased in participant numbers in each of the last four seasons.

This Winter there will be 2 X 10 week seasons as follows:

Season 1

Dates: November 4/10 – January 20/11- Thursday nights (a total of 10 weeks – no games on December 23 or December 30)
Games: 9pm, 10pm 
Location: Indoor Soccer Facility Whitby, Ontario (Address info is here)
Cost: $140.00

Season 2

Dates: January 27/11 – March 31/11- Thursday nights (a total of 10 weeks)
Games: 9pm, 10pm
Cost: $140.00

If you play both seasons and pay together, the cost is $250 total (a savings of $30). Post dated cheques will be accepted.

**the increase in price is due to the HST (13%) now being charged hourly on floor time.**

**Please note, if there are only enough players / goalies to form 4 teams, we will only play at 9pm, and the first 60 players will be eligible to play.

The Masters Lacrosse Provincials are taking place in Whitby this coming weekend, with teams from all over Ontario.  Two divisions; Junior (over 23 years of age) and Senior (over 35 years of age).  I will try to keep this up to date.

2010 Calgary Cup
June 4th, 5th and 6th, 2010
Acadia Recreation Centre Calgary, Alberta

The Calgary Masters Lacrosse League invites you to attend the 5th annual Calgary Cup Masters lacrosse Tournament June 4th, 5th and 6th 2010 in Calgary, Alberta.

This year’s tournament is guaranteed to provide the players and their families with an eventful weekend complete with fun lacrosse, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. We are expecting teams from around the province of Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia to attend the tournament, won by the Calgary Mountaneers in 2009.
We would encourage any teams that have not played in Calgary under the CMLL rules to read the tournament rules.

All games will be played at the Acadia Recreation Center at 240-90th Ave. SE. Calgary.

The organizing committee is currently accepting registration forms from interested teams. A registration form can be found on the Calgary Masters Lacrosse League website. Registration fees this year will be $850.00.

A $200, non-refundable desposit is due on May 15th, 2010. The balance is due, along with a roster, on June 1st, 2010.

We have booked a small block of rooms at the Carirage House Inn, which is walking distance from Acadia Rec Centre. The hotel is located at 9030 Macleod Trail S. Phone: 403-253-1101. The block of rooms will likely be released by May 15, 2010 if not booked.

Registration fees include a tournament gift and banquet/BBQ tickets. This year we will hold a BBQ at Acadia following the final game Saturday afternoon. We are also looking at arranging a Junior lacrosse game at the same time. That way we can remember what it was like to really run!
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Ahhhhh yes the return of Masters Lacrosse 2010. I’m pleased that LITG will be able to provide the score of this weekends tournament being held in Lethbridge, Alberta.  A big thanks to Tom Frank who will be participating.  Games will be starting tonight (Friday), and will be played right through to Sunday afternoon.

Three way tie for Red Deer, Okotoks and Calgary at 3-1.  Rankings determined by +/-.  Okotoks +13, Red Deer +10, Calgary +8.

Congratulations to the Okotoks Mustangs for winning the tournament.

Thanks to Lethbridge for putting on a great weekend!

Okay folks here is your chance to see just what your kids go through every time they step on the lacrosse floor.  Lacrosse Inside The Game is holding a 27 week Co-Ed Master Lacrosse Season with the following details:

Week 1 – Wednesday October 14 / 2009
Week 27 – Wednesday April 28 / 2010

All games played on the turf inside Whitby Iroquois Soccer Facility (new facility built in 2008). Two full size soccer fields, 1 full hour game (only minimal water breaks for goalies) each week for 27 weeks. All Masters rules apply, with a couple added changes for safety and to give everyone, new or returning, the chance to feel a “part of the game”. With two full size fields and 8 teams, all game times will be 9pm or 10pm each Wednesday.

This is the last call for the 2009 Co-Ed lacrosse Fall season.  I have a large number of names that have indicated that they are playing and are therefore on the list.  However, I need your committment by way of payment “now”.  I want to ensure that everyone that wants in has a spot, so if you have not registered / paid, please make sure to do so in the next day or two.  If I have not heard, the spots will be given away.

Shirts are being ordered Monday night, August 10th.  I will order a couple of extras, but that is it.

It is hard to believe but we are only a few weeks away from the Fall season.  And with the Fall season comes another season of LITG Co-Ed lacrosse in Whitby.  This season will run again on Thursday nights for 13 weeks, starting on Thursday August 20 and running until Thursday November 12.  All games will be played at the outdoor bowl at Peel Street Park. I am expecting again to have 8 teams in total, and therefore game times will be at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, and 10pm each week.  The cost to play will again be $110.00 with a $20 discount to all players that have played in the other two seasons in 2009 (the Winter and Summer).

There will be two registrations for this coming season.  They will be held as follows:
