Fratmen Edge Mohawks 11-10

Windsor AKO FratmenThe Windsor AKO Fratmen improved to 4-0 on the season with a road victory in Elora on Saturday night. The Fratmen edged the Mohawks 11-10. The Fratmen are the only undefeated team in the Western conference.

Goaltender Brendan Stevenson was outstanding for the Fratmen tonight stopping 51 of 61 shots and was named the player of the game. The run and gun Fratmen were outshot 61 to 41, but certainly took advantage of their chances. Elora carried the play for much of the game, but were foiled by Stevenson.

The Rivait brothers led the offence for the Fratmen with each picking up 5 points. Mike had 3 goals and two assists, while Jeff scored once and added 4 assists. Travis Boomer chipped in with a pair of goals and singles were added by Brett Hickey, Ken Greer, Bryce Penney, Steve Weingarden, and Adam Moore.

The Fratmen were 1 for 3 on the power play while Elora was 0 for 2. The Fratmen took only 3 minor penalties on the night, much to the delight of the coaching staff.

Next up for the Fratmen are the Sarnia Pacers who will pay a visit to the Frathouse at Forest Glade Arena on Tuesday evening. Game time is 8:00pm
