Well all of the hard work of a number of great volunteers comes to fruition on Friday April 24th starting at 12:00 noon. The “Truly Lacrosse Cares” 30 hour marathon lacrosse game benefitting the Children’s Wish Foundation will become a reality.
This was a thought last October, after the D.O.V.E game in Aurora, Ontario and the challenge put forth by the Aurora Masters Lacrosse League. We have had some very good support of local players and businesses alike. Everything is now down to the last minute things to do in preparation for the game.
I have not decided completely, because there is still so much to be done, but there is a good chance that the LITG camera will be there tomorrow and we will hopefully broadcast live a few times throughout the event.

The game was phenominal. I’ll be in pain for a couple days but, I met some great people, played the game I love, and helped some people that truly need it. I’m lucky to have two healthy children and a lot of memories. Thanks to Gary and his team. See you next year.
This event was a huge success! Everyone who played, volunteered, sponsor and organized this campaign should be congratulate on a job well done! I hope many more local groups take up the challenge, locate a worthy organization or charity and engage their local community!
