Quite humbly, but very proudly, I write this post. This weekend (November 2-4), the Ontario Lacrosse Association held its Annual General Meeting in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

At this year’s event I received an award on behalf of Lacrosse – Inside The Game; the 2007 Media Award. As per the Ontario Lacrosse Association web site the Media Award is “To be presented to an individual or company providing the best overall lacrosse coverage within a local community and the province”.

I must confess, that I was informed that LITG was nominated by a few of my peers here in Whitby, and was told last week that we had “made the short list”.  I was being asked to attend the event, which made me wonder. I figured something was up when my wife and kids were secretly asked to attend the dinner as well.

In any case, my thanks go out to the Ontario Lacrosse Association for this award.  I share this acknowledgement with Bernice, and all of those folks that have helped in so many ways to make our site what it is today.

Lacrosse is a great community of people and this award was the last thing on our minds when we started this  site. However, to be acknowledged for our efforts and to be presented this award in front of many of our lacrosse friends and peers is an honour that I will never forget. To be able to have my family in attendance was very special.
