Nationals Finals All Set

In the Peewee Nationals this morning, Team British Columbia came out and showed right from the start that they want another shot at Team Ontario in the final.  They defeated a hard working Team Alberta 8-3 for the right to advance on Saturday.  Team Alberta will now face Team Iroquois for the “A” Bronze medal.  Elsewhere, the “B” Gold medal game will feature New Brunswick against Nova Scotia, while the “B” Bronze medal game will put Manitoba against Saskatchewan.

In Bantam, Team Iroquois came out and dominated their game against Alberta defeating them 9-0.  With my compliments yesterday regarding goaltending, I was remiss in not mentioning Team Iroquois goalie Kanathonson Horne-David.  This boy can play the position and I will tell you now, Team Ontario already knows how good he is, remembering their double Overtime win against Iroquois in round robin play.  But this guy has been unbelievably good in the games I’ve watched him, and tomorrows “A” Gold Medal final will not be one to miss.

The other Bantam matchups have Saskatchewan going up against Nova Scotia in the “B” Gold medal game, while British Columbia will face Alberta in the “A” Bronze game.

Reports will be forthcoming on all of tomorrows games.
