Katelyn Mandville seeks spot on Canadian field lacrosse team

Courtice resident Katelyn Mandville started playing lacrosse in high school and is now reaching towards playing for the Canadian National U19 team this Brad Kelly article in the local newspaper.

“Katelyn Mandville speaks with ease about her passion for field lacrosse, and her probable inclusion on the Canadian team that will compete at the World Championships this summer.

But it wasn’t always that way.

In fact, before she arrived at high school at Monsignor John Pereyma in Oshawa, she had no knowledge about the sport.

“When I was in Grade 9 the gym teacher asked me to come out to practice,” recalls the Courtice resident. “I had no idea what field lacrosse was even about.”"

Congratulations Katelyn and good luck!  And thanks for showing what hard work and dedication can accomplish.
