You know I’ve said for the last few years that the opportunities available to the kids in our sport to gain an education partially or fully paid are increasing all of the time. Lacrosse simply opens up so many avenues for our youth, and it is really refreshing when you hear of someone that works so hard to get that opportunity.

Melissa Nakasuji of Ajax is the latest to sign on with an American university, earning a lacrosse scholarship with the Limestone Saints, a Division 2 NCAA university in South Carolina. Melissa, who is a defender, is also a member of the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights Field Lacrosse team.

Congratulations to Melissa and her family for their hard work and dedication to lacrosse!
