On the last weekend of box lacrosse in the Province, Whitby captured Provincial Championships in both the Peewee “A” and Intermediate “A” divisions.
The Peewee team defeated Mimico 7-3 in Kitchener.
The Intermediates defeated Orangeville 6-5 in Burlington.
In Bantam, Six Nations won gold over Orangeville 6-4 in a very exciting game as was described. The Whitby Bantam team won bronze 5-4 over Halton Hills in what some are describing as a bench brawl at the completion of the game.
Further details will be forthcoming on all three finals.
